With Redbeet Interactive’s Raft having officially launched on PC last month, after being in an open beta for the last three years, eager fans are waiting to hear if the survival title will be coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One anytime soon. Here is the need-to-know info on a Raft Xbox release date.
Is Raft coming to Xbox Series X|S?
At the time of writing, developer Redbeet Interactive has not confirmed if Raft will be coming to Xbox Series X|S.
Though it hasn’t yet been confirmed, there is potential for Raft to release on Xbox Series X|S at some point in the future. With games such as Subnautica having good stability on Xbox Series X|S, it seems plausible that the next-gen console could handle this game.
Is Raft releasing on Xbox One?
Developer Redbeet Interactive has neither confirmed nor denied if we will be seeing Raft on Xbox One.
With Xbox One being an older generation console, there is a possibility that the last-gen system may not see a release date for Raft. Scaling back a game that will have the capability to run on older hardware usually takes time, especially when you consider that the team at Redbeet Interactive only has eight members.
Like with a lot of other games that start as a PC exclusive, console releases do come in time. For now, though, it appears the developers have enjoyed putting their all into a PC release for the past three years. Now that the game has fully launched on PC, perhaps the next stage is console? Hopefully fans get a more definitive answer sooner rather than later.
