What is the Wordle answer 383? (July 7, 2022)
The Wordle answer 383 is now “AGAPE.”
“AGAPE” as an adjective means “(of a person’s mouth) wide open in surprise or wonder.” As a noun, it means “Christian love, as distinct from erotic love or simple affection.” (Definitions from Oxford Languages)
“AGAPE” is primarily challenging because of the duplicate “A” letter. While vowels are usually easy-to-guess letters, with most players including a handful of them in their starting guesses, a duplicate vowel can be a pest to deal with. Lucky players will lock down four out of five letters and then make that final guess for the duplicate “A.” Others will no doubt fail, however!
Those who are finding it tough to find the right word may want to try eliminating as many incorrect letters as possible with each new guess. Provided you aren’t playing on Hard Mode, which forces players to use confirmed guesses in all of the subsequent attempts, it’s best to use each new guess to knock out as many potential letters as possible.
