Best Multiversus Mods for Open Beta: Skins and Reskins

It’s of course early to talk about the best Multiversus mods for the open beta, but some creators have been making some excellent skins and reskins. The vast majority of them aren’t full characters made from the ground up, but the character model swaps have been impressive so far. In particular, many have chosen to create sprites of Smash Bros. characters, if just to raise the ire of Nintendo, and have laid them over the existing roster, especially top-tier characters like Shaggy and Batman.

Best Multiversus Mods

The vast majority of the best skins and reskins listed below can be found on GameBanana.

We also need to give a special mention to Twitter user Ryn who is working on a full character build for Cloud based on the remake. If you’re interested in discovering more mods or contributing to the Multiversus modding community, you can check out this Discord server. Some fans with experience creating characters in the MUGEN fighting community have brought their expertise over.

As all of these reskin mods are still for the open beta, there’s a chance that they won’t be compatible or the installation process might be different when the full release of the game comes out. But for now, getting the mods to work is a breeze. All you need to do is head to the Steam folder for the game, head to MultiVersus > Multiversus > Content > Paks, and then create a “Mods” folder. From there, you can drag any mods you download directly into the new folder for them to work.
