Ironheart is arriving in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and fans are wondering about its release date. This upcoming Disney+ show will introduce a new superhero into the MCU. This is the release date, cast, and everything that we currently know about this upcoming web television series.
When is the Ironheart release date?
At Hall H in San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Kevin Feige revealed the release dates for various upcoming MCU projects. Ironheart is set to premiere in fall 2023. The first season will consist of six episodes.
Who is in the Ironheart cast?
Dominique Thorne will star in the series as Riri Williams/Ironheart, a genius inventor who creates upgraded Iron Man armor. She will appear in this show following her introduction in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Anthony Ramos, star of In the Heights, will co-star in this series as Parker Robbins/The Hood, who will serve as the show’s main antagonist.
Alden Ehrenreich, star of Solo: A Star Wars Story, will have a role in the series as well. Lyric Ross, Harper Anthony, Manny Montana, and Shea Couleé have all been cast in undisclosed roles.
Have there been any Ironheart leaks?
Recently, set photos leaked which showcased the costumes for Thorne as Ironheart and Ramos as The Hood. While it’s exciting to get a first look at what these heroes look like, superhero fans have also been theorizing where the story will go. Rumors have said that Riri gets in trouble at school for getting paid to do her classmates’ homework, as she is using the money to fund her technology.
In the comics, her suit of armor gets the attention of Tony Stark. However, given that this show is set after Stark’s death in Avengers: Endgame, his role in Ironheart’s story may be replaced with James Rhodes. As the show will not be out for another year, fans have plenty of time to speculate what will occur in this upcoming superhero series.
