What is coming to Disney Plus in August 2022?
Marvel fans have got a couple of exciting additions to Disney Plus to look forward to in the coming weeks. A series of original shorts starring Baby Groot, in a show aptly titled I Am Groot, is now available on the platform. New MCU series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is also set to debut on August 18. Then there’s Spidey And His Amazing Friends for the younger ones, introducing the trio of web-slinging superheroes Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Gwen Stacy.
This month has already seen Pixar movie Lightyear, the origin of Toy Story character Buzz Lightyear, join Disney Plus. The animated flick sees Chris Evans voice the titular space adventurer, and is available just two months after its cinematic debut. Critical reception to the movie was mixed upon release, and Lightyear only brought in $222.7 million at the global box office despite its whopping budget of $200 million.
Those who want to get caught up on The Orville can now do so, as all three seasons are available to stream. Season 3 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series also continues, with a new episode being released every Wednesday.
