You can get Mementos in Destiny 2 by completing certain activities. You can add them to weapons crafted at the Relic in the Enclave on Mars to impart perks based on the level of the gun. Additionally, Mementos have a unique cosmetic effect based on which activity you earned them from.
Where to find Mementos in Destiny 2
So far, you can get Mementos in Destiny 2 through these activities since The Witch Queen was released:
- Gambit
- Grandmaster Nightfall Strikes
- Trials of Osiris
How to get Gambit Mementos
The Gambit Memento can be the easiest or hardest to get of the three depending on your luck. You basically need to just play matches until one drops. It’s a rare item, and you’re at the mercy of RNG. So it could take 1 or 100 matches to get one. There’s no way to guarentee a drop either, so it can take quite a while.
How to get Nightfall Mementos
You can earn a Nightfall Memento from completing the weekly Grandmaster Nightfall Strike. Anyone who participates in the Nightfall will get one, but you’re limited to one per week.
How to get Trials Memento
For most people this will be the toughest Memento to get. To obtain it, you’ll need to go Flawless on any card during a Trials of Osiris weekend. Just like the above, this is limited to one per week.
