The Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Birdseye perk has finally been removed from the game following reports of it being overpowered. Raven Software is balancing the perk before it is reintroduced into the game, and here’s everything we know about when we’re likely to see the feature make its return.
Why was Birdseye removed from Warzone 2?
The Birdseye perk was removed from Warzone 2 on January 30 as part of a small update full of bug fixes and gameplay improvements, although it wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes. The perk allowed players to see enemy positions and the direction in which they were facing, but players complained it was giving away too much information when used in tandem with a UAV.
Birdseye will now be balanced so that it’s ready for “future implementation into customizable Perk Packages”.
When will Birdseye return to Warzone 2?
Birdseye has been removed “until further notice” and Raven Software has asked players to “stay tuned” for more information. Hopefully, more information will be coming within a few days. Many players will be surprised if the perk does not return by the start of Season 2, which is set for the middle of February.
