When is the Tekken 8 release date?
The Tekken 8 release date is scheduled for between April 2023 and March 2024.
The game will be released on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC, completely forgoing last-generation systems in order to maximize the potential of the game.
Bandai Namco stated in their recent fiscal report (translation from ResetEra) that:
“From the next fiscal year onwards, new titles in the Tekken series and joint development with FromSoftware have been decided.”
What’s interesting here is that the company pointedly mentions multiple titles in the series. If this isn’t a mistranslation, then that could mean that last-generation systems get a different Tekken game so that they’re not completely left behind, or that Tekken 7 is planned to get a complete edition before Tekken 8 launches, akin to several other titles.
