The Minecraft 1.20 update has been revealed in all its glory, with the last addition, cherry blossoms, announced yesterday. Now that all the content has been revealed, we’re wondering when it will come to PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox, and Switch.
Is there a Minecraft 1.20 release date?
At Minecraft Live in October 2022, Minecraft 1.20 was scheduled to release in 2023 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox (One, and Series X|S), and Switch. While we can speculate about an exact time, official sources have not revealed an exact release date. However, now all the content has been revealed, we can expect it sooner rather than later, likely around summer.
Now that all the content has been added, we expect the following Java snapshots and Bedrock previews to fine-tune everything that’s been added. This means that while you can play with all the new content now, it will undergo changes before the official release.
