Unfortunately, the sheer amount of alcohol contained in these BORGs has led to the hospitalization of UMass students.
What happened with the TikTok UMass BORG challenge?
The TikTok UMass BORG challenge might have started out innocently enough but, as AP News reports, many students drinking from the gallon jugs experienced alcohol intoxication.
According to the report, 28 ambulances were summoned to off-campus parties. The need for ambulances was so high that neighboring agencies stepped in to help.
UMass suggested that this was a new trend and that the university will be taking steps to improve alcohol education.
Unsurprisingly, the events at UMass have been trending across TikTok, with many emulating the cocktail of liquids contained within the gallon jug.
