To do the old filter on TikTok, you actually need to download another app. Despite having a ton of filters, TikTok doesn’t currently have an old-age filter. So, you’ll have to edit your picture in another app and then bring it into TikTok to complete editing your video together. Fortunately, this is an easy (and free) process.
How to use the old filter on TikTok
To use the old filter on TikTok, you’ll need to download Face App. You’ll be using this app to create your old-age photo, and then you’ll need to finish creating your video on TikTok.
To do the old filter on TikTok:
- Go onto the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Search for and download Face App.
- Open Face App and wait for the Pro free trial offer to come up.
- Skip past the Pro offer. You don’t need it for the old age filter.
- Allow the app to have access to any photos you want to use (or your whole photo library).
- Select an image you want to use.
- Choose the Age option at the bottom of the screen.
- Select “Cool Old” or “Old” and let the app work its magic.
- Tap “Save” in the upper right corner of the screen to save the image to your library.
That’s all there is to using the old-age filter for TikTok. Now you can take the picture and use it in any other app. However, you’ll notice there is a Face App watermark if you use the free version. If you want to get rid of that, make sure and subscribe to Pro.
