The new Destiny 2 Season 21 dungeon finally has a release date and time confirmed by Bungie. The developer revealed that Season of the Deep would be getting a mysterious dungeon of some sort as part of the Destiny 2 roadmap for 2023. Not much is known about what this dungeon will entail, since Bungie wants it to be a surprise. That said, here’s when the new dungeon will arrive for Destiny 2 Season 21.
What is the Destiny 2 Season 21 dungeon release date and time?
The new dungeon for Destiny 2 Season 21 will be May 26, 2023 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. This has been verified by Bungie in its TWAB post for May 11.
Sadly, Bungie did not share any details on what the new dungeon will be about, though it wouldn’t be surprising if it takes place in some underwater cave or an island surrounded by water. I mean, the developer might as well lean into the whole Season of the Deep before it ends. One of the only things we know about this new dungeon is that it will come with “its own Exotic weapon and collection of rewards,” according to Lightfall’s official webpage.
This new dungeon is first of two that is unlocked with the Lightfall Dungeon Key currently available for purchase. Players will need to wait until Season 23 to find out what the second dungeon will be. Those who have purchased the Lightfall Annual Pass will get the Lightfall Dungeon Key on release.
That said, if you’re unsure about buying this extra DLC for 2000 Silver (which is roughly around $20), it may be worth waiting for some players to livestream or post gameplay of the dungeon when it arrives.
