A new CEO of Twitter will be replacing Elon Musk very soon. That’s according to a tweet by Elon Musk himself, though we have to take this with a grain of salt since he has made plenty of jokes about this on his account before. At the time of this writing, the relevant tweet was last edited at 12:48 PM on May 11 and has been viewed over 4 million times.
Who is the new CEO of Twitter?
We don’t know much about who the new CEO of Twitter, but according to the tweet, all we know is that it’s apparently a female. This has led to a lot of users replying with edited pictures of a yassified Elon Musk styled like a woman with long, flowing hair and lipstick. One user thinks that it’s Liz Holmes, the fraudster who recently received a surprisingly glowing article from The New York Times.
I mean, Musk posted a picture of his Shiba Inu as “the new CEO of Twitter” back in February 2023, so for all we know, this new tweet is just one big troll meme. So we’re not going to hold our breath if this so-called new CEO is a cartoon or something. Either way, it’s getting him a lot of media attention.
When is Elon Musk stepping down?
If we are to believe this bit, the new CEO for Twitter will be starting in about six weeks, so somewhere between June 18 and June 24. Musk will reportedly step down from CEO then and “transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.”
To be honest, Musk has pretty much said everything under the sun as far as new CEO for Twitter is concerned. According to Bloomberg, he said he may lead Twitter until the end of 2023, though Time says he was actively searching for a new CEO back in December 2022. So it’s really anyone’s guess if this tweet is really true or not.
