FF7 Rebirth Pre-Order Details: How to Pre-Purchase on PS5 & PS4

FF7 Rebirth will be available to pre-order on PS5 and PS4. We also expect it to be available on PC after its console release, since the original FF7 Remake became available on PC via the Epic Games Store about six months after the game’s PS4 release. Square Enix has unfortunately still not revealed when players will be able to pre-purchase FF7 Rebirth in the new trailer at the 2023 Summer Games Fest. But we do have some idea on when Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth pre-orders might become available.

FF7 Rebirth pre-order guide

If its predecessor is anything to go by, FF7 Rebirth will likely be available for pre-order at numerous retailers for $69.99. In addition to Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and GameStop, you should be able to pre-purchase it on the PS Store as well as the official Square Enix store.

It will likely have various editions too. This would probably include a standard edition, deluxe edition and a premium edition that will not be far from the FF7 Remake 1st Class Edition that was exclusive to the Square Enix Store.

When is the FF7 Rebirth pre-order date?

We anticipate that the FF7 Rebirth pre-order date will be December 2023 for PS5.

Here’s our train of thought on why this is. The new Summer Games Fest trailer for the game revealed that the release window will be Early 2024. Now, to jog your memory (since it’s been a while for us too), pre-order details for the original FF7 Remake came out in December 2019 at The Game Awards 2019. The game then released about five months later in April 2020 for PS4 and PS5.

So barring a delay on the Early 2024 release window, we believe that FF7 Rebirth will follow a similar pattern. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if pre-order details for the game would be revealed during the The Game Awards later this year.

We should note a curiosity, though, concerning the PS4 version of the game. The PS4 logo does not appear in the recent trailer, but it does appear on the game’s official website. This might mean that the PS4 version might not arrive in Early 2024 but later down the line, similar to the release dates for Hogwarts Legacy for last-gen consoles.
