While many players will likely be fine with their chosen character in Tower of Fantasy, many others will want to change them around. Customizing your avatar’s appearance is a little more obtuse than it should be and swapping the gender between male and female is even more complicated. How to change gender in Tower of Fantasy
Changing gender in Tower of Fantasy is hard to find, but easy to do once you find the right menu. Just go to your backpack and then tab to the Wanderer page. Just tap on the little gender icon near your in-game ID (or press Square on PlayStation) and you can change your gender from male to female or vice versa. There currently is no nonbinary option, though.
Changing your avatar from male to female (or vice-versa) is a little more complicated and expensive since it is tied to the Appearance Change Card, something that used to be exclusive to China (and have a different a name).
To get the Appearance Change Card, you have to go to the store. It’s easily selectable on PC and mobile since it is on the top right hand of the screen, but PlayStation players can select by pressing Triangle and Square at the same time to bring up the cursor.
Once the store is selected, go the the “HOT” tab and the Appearance Change Card will be there. It has the male and female symbols on and costs 680 tanium, which is $11. It’s quite a steep and limits how often players can truly customize around their character, but at least gives players the opportunity of changing the avatar’s gender, something that wasn’t possible in many countries for some time.
