The BattleBit Remastered Switch release date is something tactical first-person shooter players are likely looking forward to. This Battlefield-type game is already a hit on PC, after all. Many are wondering if the game is coming out on Switch, so here’s everything we know.
Is BattleBit Remastered coming out on Switch?
Battlebit Remastered isn’t confirmed for a Switch release.
The title has not even been specifically confirmed for Nintendo’s console. Console ports, while seemingly not out of the question, aren’t in the studio’s current plans. In a Reddit Ask Me Anything, TheLiquidHorse, one of the handful of developers working on BattleBit Remastered, stated that the experience mattered and said that it wouldn’t be able to give players in both ecosystems the same experience. They then explained later in the AMA that console ports are technically possible, but those will “take a while.”
TheLiquidHorse did not specifically call out any consoles, so it’s unclear if they were even referring to the Switch. It’s possible that they were mostly speaking to the bigger consoles like PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Is there a BattleBit Remastered Switch release date?
There is no BattleBit Remastered Switch release date.
As was previously stated, BattleBit Remastered has not even been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch. It is a small team and the studio is prioritizing other parts of the game instead of console ports, as developer TheLiquidHorse stated in the above AMA. And given the age of the Switch and looming specter of its successor, it’s possible that BattleBit Remastered would come to that newer system instead if it ever makes its way to a Nintendo platform.
The game’s description reads:
“BattleBit Remastered is a low-poly, massive multiplayer FPS, supporting 254 players per server. Battle on a near-fully destructible map with various vehicles!”
