Obtaining a lot of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Tech Parts for upgrades is one of the first things you’ll want to do in the game. A good number of suit skins, suit tech, gadgets, and skills require tech parts to build, so you’ll need a steady supply of them throughout your adventure with Peter Parker and Miles Morales. The game will actually give you a list of places of where you can find this resource in the city, but it doesn’t particularly tell you how to get them quickly, particularly at the beginning of the story when a lot of side activities are still blurred out by question marks. Here’s where to get tech parts fast in Spider-Man 2.
How to get Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Tech Parts fast
To get tech parts quickly in Spider-Man 2, you need to complete crime reports found randomly throughout New York City and find blue crates usually found in alleyways and on the top of buildings.
Each district has a certain number of crime reports that will pop up as a notification while you’re swinging around the city. A red triangle will appear with an exclamation mark, along with a box that tells you the time of crime is happening, like a break-in, car chase, abduction, etc. These crime reports only last a limited amount of time, so you’ll want to zip there quickly and then complete the event.
The number of tech parts you’ll get for each crime report varies but you’ll receive about 50 to 100 tech parts. Better yet, these contribute to the overall district progress that is important for unlocking fast travel and earning a small amount of Rare Tech Parts and Hero Tokens.
On top of that, you’ll spot blinking blue tech crates often as you explore the streets of the city. If one of these crates are nearby, you’ll hear an audible ping that gets louder as you get closer to them. These tech crates usually award about 20 or so tech parts for your trouble.
There are so many of these blue boxes that you may not want to use a third-party info map to find them all, but if you really need to search them out, you can head to the Suit Tech section under Traversal to find the All Seeing upgrade. This will reveal the location of any tech crates on the mini-map to make sure that you don’t miss any of them.
Later in the game, you can find more by completing EMF Experiments, FNSM requests, and Hunter Blinds, as well as locating Spider-Bots.
