Who is Venom in Spiderman 2?

In Spiderman 2, Venom is Harry Osborn, the son of Norman Osborn and childhood friend of Peter parker.

One of the first cutscenes in the game sees Harry Osborn two years ago in a laboratory looking at a large cylindrical tank with a black mass inside. How this alien symbiote was discovered in the first place is uncovered later in the story. This special treatment works and he is cured at least temporarily by way of the symbiote reversing the disease. As explained by Harry to Peter, he wears a “suit” that cures him, allowing him to continue his life.
