The Like A Dragon Gaiden Kuidaore Taro is something that a man wants Kazuma Kiryu to take a snapshot of. A middle-aged restless tourist on the western side of the Sotenbori map requests through the Akame Network a photograph of a mechanical clown. If you don’t know that much about famous landmarks in Osaka, Japan, you may not know what Kuidaore Taro is. So this side quest may be much too obscure for Western fans of the Yakuza or Like a Dragon series. Here’s where the location of Kuidaore Taro the mechanical clown is in Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased Your Name for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
Where is the Like A Dragon Gaiden Kuidaore Taro location?
The mechanical clown known as Kuidaore Taro is located on Sotenbori Street to the right of the Golf Center along the northern section of the map.
It might have been a better description if the game said that Kuidaore Taro is a drummer as well. This landmark, similar to its real-life counterpart, is located in front of a building that is somewhat walled off in the game. You can look at the screenshot of this clown statue above to give you an exact guide on what to photograph. Or you can read the map below to give you a precise location of where it is.
For some historical context, Kuidaore Taro was placed in front of the former Cui-daore restaurant back in 1950. “Kuidaore” refers to Osaka, which is colloquially known as the city of kuidaore, and means “ruining oneself by eating and drinking excessively.” Given all of the restaurants that line Sotenbori Street, that phrase is very fitting.
Once you find the statue, you can have Kiryu take snapshot of it using his phone. Then bring that back to the tourist to earn a little bit of cash as well as a handful of Akame Network points.
