How to change name in The Finals

The Finals: How to Change Name

In The Finals, when you first create an Embark account to play the game, you are automatically assigned a random username. It consists of a combination of two words. This assigned name serves as both your display name and identifier within the game. The initial username is random and may not always align with a player’s preferences or desired in-game identity. Changing your name in The Finals is a relatively simple process. But you can modify only your display name, not the unique identifier or series of numbers associated with it.

How do you change your name in The Finals?

Changing your name in The Finals is quite simple, but it can’t be done within the game itself. You’ll need to head over to the Embark Studios website and edit your profile settings there. Here’s how:

  1. Head to the Embark Studios website
  2. Log in to your Embark account: Use the same credentials you use to log in to The Finals. If you don’t have an account, you can easily create one using your Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox account.
  3. Access your profile: Once logged in, click on your username in the top right corner of the screen and select “Profile” from the dropdown menu.
  4. Edit your display name: On your profile page, look for the “Display Name” section. Click the “Edit” button next to it.
  5. Enter your new name: Type in the new name you want to use in The Finals and click “Save.”

That’s it! Your new name will now be reflected in The Finals the next time you log in.

Remember you can change your name in The Finals once every 10 minutes. There is no limit to the number of times you can change your name. Changing your name in The Finals is free! Unlike some other games, you don’t need to purchase name change tokens. You can only change your display name, not the unique identifier that comes after it.
