The Tekken 8 main story length is something players want to know before they invest time into it. The main story of past Tekken games by Bandai Namco have not been terribly long, but the campaign in Tekken 8 is quite cinematic. It features a dramatic plot between Jin Kazama and his father Kazuya Mishima, and perhaps more importantly, it has plenty of rewards that can only be unlocked by playing through it on the three difficulty settings. Here’s how long the story mode is in Tekken 8 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
How long is the Tekken 8 main story length?
The main story length of Tekken 8 is approximately two to three hours, depending on your general skill level.
The campaign takes places over 15 chapters that are relatively short. You’ll play as Jin most of the time, while other characters will make a cameo appearance every now and then. The story will be slightly longer if you choose to play the story mode on the harder difficulties, which you may want to do anyway to earn all of the unlockables.
If you want to unlock all of the customization options, you will want to defeat Chapter 1, 7, and 15 on Easy, Normal, and Hard. This will unlock plates, health bars, and panels in Bronze, Silver, and Gold variations respectively. Still, as long as you have solid grasp on the mechanics of Tekken 8, it shouldn’t take too long to obtain all of the rewards here.
As for Arcade Quest, this should also only take a few hours so long as you reduce the number of rounds to 1 instead of the default setting of 2 rounds. In fact, the amount of fight money and experience you receive for lowering the number for rounds to one remains the same, so you might as well change it to save time.
The same goes for the Character Episode mode, where you need to complete five fights before seeing each character’s ending. At a single round, it should only take about two to three hours to get through all of these episodes for the full character list.
