You’ll want to find a Straw location quickly in Enshrouded since it’s an important resource. It is used for crafting many useful items like beehives and high-level beds. Unfortunately, it’s not as easily available as other materials. But fear not, there are ways to get your hands on some straw!
Where to find straw in Enshrouded
In Enshrouded, straw can be found primarily by harvesting wheat plants. Straw is an advanced resource primarily used to craft beehives. Beehives are valuable because the honey they produce helps regenerate stamina, making them worth the time and effort to craft.
Finding Straw in Bounty Barn
Your primary source of straw in the early game is Bounty Barn, an abandoned farm located in the east of the Pillars of Creation and adjacent to the Elixil well in Nomad Highlands. This area requires a Flame Altar level 4 to access, so make sure you’ve progressed enough before venturing out. Once you reach Bounty Barn, keep an eye out for fields of wheat. These tall, yellow plants resemble regular grass. Harvest the wheat by pressing “E”, and you’ll get both straw and wheat seeds!
While you’re at Bounty Barn, you might also find other useful resources like bell peppers, sage plants, and even a silver chest containing a high-level Crackling Wand.
Growing Your Own Straw
Players can also grow their own wheat! Gather the wheat seeds you obtained from Bounty Barn and head back to your base. There, use a seedbed along with 1x Water and 1x Fossilized Bone Dust to craft wheat seedlings.
Plant your wheat seedlings in any type of soil, but for faster growth, consider using farm soil or fertilized farm soil created by the Farmer NPC. Once your wheat matures, harvest it for straw and more seeds!
