Back in December Blizzard announced an "Adopt Argi" campaign in World of Warcraft to raise money for Ebola relief. Now the results of that campaign have been released: folks contributed over $1.9 million for the American Red Cross.
In the month of December, Blizzard urged fans to purchase the new Argi pet. The entirety of the $10 "adoption fee" was sent to the American Red Cross to help with Ebola relief in Africa. The charity donation period lasted less than a month, ending just before the new year.
Argi's pet page describes the small creature as an "interstellar traveler [who] would love somewhere to call home." It also looks like a goat. Purchasing a cute pet like that and donating money to charity sounds like a win-win to me.
