Valve Unveils Game-Streaming Box Steam Link

During GDC 2015, Valve announced a new piece of hardware. Dubbed Steam Link, this nifty little set-top box will allow gamers to stream content from their PC, Mac, Steam Machine, etc., so long as it's on the same home network.

With the device, gamers can enjoy "low latency" streaming of Steam games in 1080p at 60 Hz, all for the reasonable asking price of $50. Sounds like a promising little competitor to the likes Apple TV and Roku if you ask me!

The device is expected to launch this November, alongside the Steam Controller, which was also confirmed for a November release and $50 price point.

Valve also announced its Source 2 Engine, which will be free for developers.
