Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear Solid franchise and boss over at Kojima Productions, is reportedly parting ways with Konami once development on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been completed.
"After we finish MGSV, Mr. Kojima and upper management will leave Konami. They said their contract ends in December," an anonymous source told GameSpot. "At a team meeting, Mr Kojima explained that team have to be one and make a good game for fans."
Konami has already started removing the KojiPro logo from its official franchise art, and the branding has been stripped from Twitter and its main website.
I guess Kojima wasn't bluffing when he said this Metal Gear could very well be his last.
