I often see Dragon's Dogma listed as one of the best RPGs of the last generation of games, so I'm sure fans will be pleased to hear that Capcom is working on a PC port scheduled to come out in January 2016.
The announcement was made this morning on a Capcom blog. It states that the expanded version of the game, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, will be released on PC with "full Steam support” at the price of $29.99. Additionally, the game will include "high-res graphics and improved fidelity."
Dragon's Dogma originally came out in 2012 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, while the Dark Arisen re-release followed in 2013. It's not too surprising to see a port of the game announced so many years later. Let's not forget Capcom is busy releasing HD remasters of the Resident Evil series.
I tried playing Dragon's Dogma a few times last year but stopped after a handful of hours. The dated visuals and shaky performance were the biggest factors, as I enjoyed the combat and world quite a bit. I kept thinking to myself, "this game could really use an enhanced PC port." Apparently Capcom reads minds.
It's a long wait until January, so here are some screenshots of the PC version to tide folks over.
