Titanfall Dev Is Making a Star Wars Game Led by God of War’s Stig Asmussen

EA Studios Executive Vice President Patrick Soderlund has published an announcement sharing that Respawn Entertainment is currently working on a Star Wars title. The development team is being led by Stig Asmussen, who is most known for his work on the God of War series.

Following the announcement, Stig Asmussen posted on the Respawn Entertainment blog sharing his excitement about the project.

This new project means that Respawn Entertainment is working on two titles at once, as it's already been confirmed that Titanfall 2 is on-track for a late 2016 release.

The only information regarding the style of game is that it's a "third-person action adventure." Based on job listings it appears that the game is being created on Unreal Engine 4 and will feature "hero control/mechanics" with "boss encounters". This has led many to assume that the game will include some type of single-player campaign.

This game has just begun production, so it's several years out for release. Additionally, no supported platforms have been confirmed.
