PewDiePie Officially Responds To Hate Speech Allegations

This week might have marked to the release of For Honor and Sniper Elite 4, but neither of these two games have caused as much discussion as PewDiePie.

The controversy began with PewDiePie making a video about Fiverr's new Fun & Lifestyle section, which he described as being a place where you can pay people a few bucks to do or say just about anything. After proving this by having a few shop owners hold up signs saying awful things, he found himself in the headlines of outlets such as Wall Street Journal who labeled him as anti-sematic for the language used on the signs.

There's been a lot of back and forth about whether or not PewDiePie crossed the line, as well as whether or not what he did was intentional hate speech. But one thing's for certain: the media relentlessly ganged up on him and it got ugly.

After several days worth of discussion, PewDiePie published a response video this morning. Totaling it over 11 minutes, he explained his side of the story in the video (seen above), providing perspective for people who may not have considered what his original intentions were.

It's an enlightening video whether or not you agree with his video or style of content, going as far as highlighting how sinister the media can be if they don't like what you have to say.
