Stardew Valley Confirmed For Nintendo Switch, Along With Many Indie Titles

In its "Nindies" livestream earlier today, Nintendo showcased a number of high-profile independent titles that will release for its upcoming hybrid console, Nintendo Switch. Among the many games announced or re-confirmed for the device, one stood out and was saved for last: Stardew Valley.

During the stream, Nintendo emphasized that not only is Stardew Valley on the way, but that the version coming to Switch will be the latest, definitive edition. This of course means that the game's upcoming multiplayer will appear on Switch, making it the first console to debut the feature. For a console with an impressive (read: Zelda) but admittedly thin launch window, Stardew Valley is a fine addition indeed.

Of course, the key phrase is "launch window," as availability is listed by Nintendo as "coming this summer" as of right now. That said, a number of other titles were discussed during the stream, including Blaster Master ZeroSteamworld Dig 2, Flipping Death, and more. The aforementioned titles are headed to Switch on March 9th for Blaster Master, and later in 2017 for Steamworld and Flipping Death respectively. The infographic above details more games headed to Switch in 2017, and according to Nintendo's presenter, they ran out of space to fit them all.
