Developer Vigil Games, the team behind the upcoming action title Darksiders II, is assuring the Nintendo faithful that if they're planning on playing Darksiders II on the Wii U, their experience will be just as good as those who will be picking it up for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Speaking to Eurogamer, associate producer Jay Fitzloff explained that "the visuals will be the same. It's still a work in progress. But I know, at least as good is the way to say it." Considering that the Wii U is allegedly made up of newer technology, one would hope that this would be the case. Then again, a fair share of developers have voiced their complaints against the hardware, claiming it is even more limiting than the PS3 and Xbox 360. Vigil however, spoke quite highly of the Wii U's hardware, saying that it has "plenty of horsepower… so we're not going to have to make any visual concessions at all."
Fitzloff went on to discuss how they plan to take advantage of the system's tablet controller, saying: "Any game would have their inventory on the controller screen. But even that little simple thing is a big difference because you never have to stop the game on the main screen. That will change people's perceptions because you've never had a game where you didn't have to."
Darksiders II is set to release this August for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and "late 2012" for the Wii U.
