Just when you thought CBS couldn't get any more worse ideas for TV shows, they sign with Zynga to turn Draw Something into a TV game show.
The show will be produced by the man who has his hands in everything media, Ryan Seacrest, and Michael Davies, the executive producer of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Please note that Seacrest will be producing the show, not hosting. No host has been named as of yet.
The show, which will be called Draw, will feature teams of celebrities and commoners who will "test their skills in front of a studio audience to earn money and big laughs." Viewers can also play along at home to win prizes.
For the love of God, why? Draw Something is an iOS/Android game that was insanely popular near the end of April. It's nothing but a digital version of a game we old folks once called Pictionary. The popularity has steeply dropped off ever since Zynga purchased the game's developer, OMGPOP. This could be the worst pop culture spin-off idea CBS has had since attempting to air $#*! My Dad Says.
However, it has the possibility of becoming great since, for some reason, everything Seacrest touches turns into instant gold. At that point, I'll curl into a fetal position, sob while rocking back and forth, and make plans to become the next Ted Kaczinsky.
