Forza Horizon Limited Edition Revealed, Pre-orders Available

[Question: Do you like this font?]

Forza Horizon will be heating up the holiday season and, starting today, you can pre-order the title at participating U.S. retailers with the usual incentive of download codes, which in this case are for additional liveries.

The first is a custom "Forza Horizon"-themed 2012 Dodge Challenge SRT8 392, a vehicle with enough horsepower to own the open-world desert roads in the game. If you're lucky, you'll also receive an additional token for one of four cars: 2012 Aston Martin Virage, 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia, and 2010 Nissan 370Z.

Also available for pre-order is the Limited Collector's Edition, which comes in a fancy tin that some marketing guru decided to call the Steelbook™ (What's next? Shinycase?) and the "Forza Horizon" Festival Ticket that comes with exclusive in-game content and VIP Membership for Forza Horizon. This so-called membership will grant you access to a five-car VIP Pack at launch, VIP-only events, and special status within the game.

The Festival Ticket also gives you five exclusive Limited Edition liveries and a "Forza Horizon" Accelerator Token Pack that will help unlock the game faster for those who want everything first.

In other words, they really want your money as soon as possible. For me, the title is teetering on the edge of a must-buy, but I'll need one more test run to see how it's progressed since E3 to convince me that this open-world concept will work.

Forza Horizon speeds into stores October 23, 2012.
