Meanwhile, the Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels map presents four different areas, all linked with more than 200 km of the customary Hot Wheels tracks. The Horizon Nexus, the hub of the Horizon Festival, is suspended in the center of three other biomes – the rocky Giant’s Canyon, the frozen tundra of the Ice Cauldron, and the lush greenery of the Forest Falls. The expansion also comes with ten new cars.
In terms of bug fixes and gameplay improvements, the Series 10 update introduces a new save recovery system, which allows players to restore a previous backup if the game loses the most recent save data, but this will not recover any saves lost before the update goes live. Other issues that have been fixed include:
- Players could lose credits if their Auction House bid failed.
- Horizon Tour autocompleting itself in the Festival Playlist.
- TAA on PC causing wheels to appear blurry or transparent.
- Certain cars feeling more unstable to drive when using simulated steering after a physics change in Series 9.
- Inability to challenge players to head-to-head races in The Eliminator if they were using the Telemetry overlay.
- Players could timeout when joining an EventLab event in co-op.
- Players could be returned to Freeroam during Horizon Open.
In other news, the latest Fortnite leak suggests a Dragon Ball crossover will soon be coming and will include character skins for Goku, Vegeta, and Beerus. Elsewhere, Xbox Game Pass adds six more games throughout the rest of July 2022, including As Dusk Falls and Watch Dogs 2.
