Yakuza 6 Demo Releases Today and It’s Massive

The demo for Yakuza 6 The Song of Life will begin rolling out today on February 27th, 2018. It is the first Yakuza game solely developed for the PS4.

The download size of the Yakuza 6 demo is a whopping 36.53 GB. It’s pretty massive despite being just a demo. The description of the PSN listing states that the demo contains the game’s prologue.

Players should be happy to know that all of their progress from the demo will transfer to the full game. The Yakuza 6 demo will be free for all PS4 and PS4 Pro owners. They will simply need to download it via PlayStation Network when it releases.

Players can expect to go through an introductory segment of sorts, to let players know what the protagonist of Yakuza 6, Kazuma Kiryu, has been up to. Players will probably experience the combat and take part in some of the mini-games the franchise is famous for. If it’s the same as the Japanese demo, players will be able to play Yakuza 6 until the end of the game’s first chapter.

The story of Yakuza 6 The Song of Life takes place after the events of Yakuza 5, which was originally released in Japan in 2012. Yakuza 5 took over three years for the localized version to be released worldwide in 2015. While recovering from his injuries from the previous game, Kazuma is approached and arrested by the police. After three years of incarceration, he discovers that Haruka seems to have gone missing. Upon being released, he embarks on a journey to uncover the answers to the mystery of Haruka’s disappearance.

Yakuza 6 The Song of Life is a third-person action-adventure game developed and published by Sega. It was originally slated to release worldwide on March 20th but it was then delayed to April 17th, 2018. The Japanese version of Yakuza 6 was originally released on December 6th, 2016.
