Call of Duty WW2 DLC The War Machine is Announced

Let’s hope you’ve not grown tired of the newest COD game, because the Call of Duty WW2 DLC The War Machine has just been revealed by Activision and Sledgehammer Games. With the reveal of The War Machine, Call of Duty WW2’s DLC will feature a series of exciting, new maps for players to enjoy. These maps will take players from location to location to see how the war has affected these maps differently, such as delving in deep into the iconic, historic location the WW2 battle of Dunkirk, traveling to a top-secret German V-2 rocket facility and then trekking across the scorching hot sands of Egypt.

Along with new maps, players will be able to take on a new War Mission called Operation Husky. This new mission includes a new gameplay mechanic – soaring into the skies to engage in some aerial dogfighting! But before they can do that, players must gather intel and then transmit it to HQ. Though if you were concerned that this new DLC wouldn’t involve a new chapter of the Nazi Zombies, then don’t fret.

With this DLC you’ll be able to engage once more in the Barbarossa storyline to an entirely new level. In the new zombie mission, The Shadowed Throne, our heroes will delve into the heart of Nazi Germany to confront a desperate and evil regime. As the preview states “Berlin is burning, and Doktor Straub’s monstrous army is hellbent on purging his city of the Allied invaders. It is up to Marie, Drostan, Olivia, and Jefferson to save the day.”

While the announcement from Activision didn’t include a gameplay trailer, thus no gameplay footage of The War Machine DLC, fans of the Call of Duty series will be pleased to know they won’t have to wait long. Fans should be expecting a trailer for all of these new DLC maps very soon as The War Machine will first be available for PlayStation 4 players on April 10. There has been no announcement for when it will be released on Xbox One.
