The content in the season pass will be given out on a month-to-month basis, most likely to keep interest alive as new weapons, skills, outfits and narrative adventures become available. Nonetheless, you do get an exclusive weapon, outfit, and skill on Day One if you sign up for the season pass.
That’s not even mentioning the great stuff you’ll receive if you purchase the Ultimate Edition of Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
