Xbox Games with Gold June Titles May Have Been Leaked

Every month, Sony and Microsoft announce the games PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live subscribers receive as a part of their subscriptions. However, sometimes they accidentally leak those announcements via a branch in a different country, which is what happened today. Xbox’s German website has leaked their Games with Gold June 2018 titles and also what could be the lineup for other countries.

The slate of titles includes Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia and Smite: Gold Bundle for Xbox One and Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed and Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues for Xbox 360. Despite what the German site says, Xbox’s North American website still has not updated so these titles are not confirmed to be part of other country’s Xbox Live subscriptions. However, with some minor exceptions to some Asian countries, most territories get the same games from month to month.

For example, Germany had the same titles as the United States for May 2018: Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, Super Mega Baseball, Vanquish, and Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage (which has since gone off the service since it expired on May 15th). The safest bet would be to wait until your territory officially announces the lineup, but this is a decent indicator.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia is another entry in the side-scrolling spin-offs that have not been gone over well with critics. Smite is a free-to-play game but this exclusive Gold Bundle offers $100 worth of items that include “20 additional gods and over 50 bonus items such as skins, caster packages, and more.”

Keeping with tradition, both Xbox 360 Games with Gold June titles are backwards compatible on the Xbox One. The Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues originally came out in 2009 and is another safe entry in the Lego games franchise. Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed was a well-received racing game and also may be yet another hint at an alleged sequel that Sega keeps teasing. If another Sonic racing game is on the horizon, then it has a good chance of being revealed at E3 next month.
