Titan Quest is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch next month, according to an announcement by THQ Nordic. The classic action RPG came out on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One earlier this year and will finally also release on the Switch on July 31, 2018.
Titan Quest was originally released back in 2006 for the PC and an Anniversary Edition was launched on Steam in 2016. It was also ported to mobile devices in the same year. The game follows a player-created protagonist as they journey through Ancient Greece, Egypt, and China on a quest to defeat the Titans.
Titan Quest for the Nintendo Switch will feature 28 character classes for players to choose from and over 1000 pieces of unique and legendary items to equip them with.
Here’s a description of the game from THQ Nordic:
“From Age of Empires co-creator Brian Sullivan and Braveheart writer Randall Wallace comes an action role playing game set in ancient Greece, Egypt and Asia. The Titans have escaped their eternal prison, wreaking havoc upon the earth. The gods seek a hero who can turn the tide in an epic struggle that will determine the fate of both men and gods. Are you ready for the quest?”
The Nintendo Switch version of the game will come with its own tailor made controls and user interface that are designed to work well with the console. Online co-op multiplayer will also be available, allowing 2-6 players to play together. Just like the other console releases, the Switch release of Titan Quest will also feature remastered graphics, including fully reworked textures.
Titan Quest will be available on the Nintendo Switch starting July 31, 2018. While the Standard Edition of the game has been announced, it has not been made clear whether a Collector’s Edition for the Nintendo Switch will be available. You can check out the trailer for the Switch release below:
