A Jump Force Switch port reportedly isn’t happening due to technical limitations, with a Nintendo Switch version of the upcoming crossover fighting game not in the works. This news comes from the E3 show floor, where Jump Force is currently available to play for attendees on the Xbox One. The game was just announced during the Microsoft E3 2018 press conference.
The game sees characters from various anime properties face off against one another, with Naruto, Dragon Ball, and One Piece characters featured in the debut trailer. Bandai Namco is developing the game, though unlike Dragon Ball FighterZ it will take place in a 3D arena, ditching FighterZ‘s 2.5D art style.

Bandai is rumored to be bringing Dragon Ball FighterZ to the Nintendo Switch, so many will be disappointed that a Jump Force Switch port isn’t in the works, too. However, with the console being less powerful than the Xbox One, these reports from the E3 show floor suggest that the Switch’s less powerful hardware have unfortunately ensured that it can’t be released on the portable system.
The Xbox One E3 2018 event contained a bunch of Bandai Namco announcements, including From Software’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the Dark Souls dev’s brand new IP.
