Players of Pokemon Sun and Moon, as well as Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, will soon have the opportunity to add two more legendaries from Generation Five to their Pokedex. Tornadus and Thundurus, who originally appeared in Pokemon Black and White, will be made available for free to all players who own the aforementioned Pokemon titles, starting next month in July.
The Pokemon Company announced the news recently, where it revealed that players can add one of the two legendary Pokemon starting from 13th to 28th July 2018. Owners of Pokemon Sun or Ultra Sun can obtain Electric/Flying-type Thundurus while owners of Pokemon Moon or Ultra Moon can obtain the Flying-type Tornadus.

Residents of the US can collect their codes by visiting their local Target while those who live in Canada will receive one via their Pokemon Trainer Club newsletter. In Europe, players can download their codes on the Nintendo Network via Mystery Gift from July 6th to 22nd, 2018.
Pokemon Sun and Moon: How To Redeem Tornadus/Thundurus
- Boot up your Pokemon title on the Nintendo 3DS.
- Select Mystery Gift from the game’s main menu.
- Select Receive Gift.
- Choose to redeem your code with Code/Password, then select Yes and Yes once again to connect to the Internet.
- Enter the code you received.
- The game begins downloading the legendary Pokemon.
- When playing the game, ensure that there’s an empty space in your team party and speak to the deliveryman waiting in any Pokemon Center to finally obtain Xerneas/Yveltal.
There have been different Legendaries given away every month since February 2018, to celebrate its Year of Legendary Pokemon. In August, the next legendary Pokemon will be Generation 3 Legendaries Kyogre and Groudon, which originally appeared in Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby, respectively. The Pokemon brand is definitely increasing in popularity, as Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and Let’s Go Pikachu are slated to release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on November 16th, 2018.
