Xbox Ultimate Game Sale

Xbox Ultimate Game Sale Starts Later this Week

Both Steam and PSN had their annual summer sales and now Microsoft is about to have theirs as well. The technology giant announced that the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale will run from July 19 to July 30 and have discounts on hundreds of Xbox One and Xbox 360 games. The link for the sale is on Microsoft’s website but it is not currently live.

Major Nelson gave more details on his Twitter account, stating that there will be deals on more than 700 games and that players can get up to 65 percent off certain titles. As has been the tradition, Xbox Live Gold members will also get an extra 10 percent off discounted games. The sale will begin on July 19 at 12:01 am PT and end at an unknown time on July 30.

While it is a mystery what titles will go on sale this year, the banner on the website shows NBA 2K18 as well as Microsoft’s biggest games this year: Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2. The website claims that there will be sales on “hundreds of games, consoles, gaming PCs, accessories, and more.”

This is part of Microsoft’s bigger, overarching sale, which also discounts gaming hardware and accessories across the Microsoft Store, Xbox Store, and Windows Store. Microsoft made the announcement today on their website through their “Ultimate Doppelgamer” contest where people can send in pictures of themselves if they look like a particular game character. The grand prize winner gets an all-expense paid trip to PAX West in Seattle and VIP access to the Microsoft’s Mixer booth where they can meet popular streamers.

The annual Xbox Ultimate Game Sale always comes in the middle of the summer and gets bigger and bigger every year. Last year’s sale boasted it had over 350 titles while 2016 stated it had discounted over 250. This year’s sale has deals on over 700 games.
