The World Ends With You Switch Release Date Announced

Announced earlier this year, The World Ends With You on Switch has finally been given a release date. The World Ends With You release date is sooner than you may think, too. Indeed, the latest remake of the DS classic is set to hit Nintendo’s hybrid console on October 12. We can’t wait to return to the colorful world of Neku in The World Ends With You Final Remix.

A striking new trailer gave us the official release date alongside a good look at the rhythm gameplay. Despite the fact that it is a ten-year-old game, this Final Remix edition of the game looks to be the best version. The touchscreen and Joy-Con control methods of the Switch will offer up great gameplay mechanics for The World Ends With You. The motion controls of the Joy-Cons coupled with HD Rumble will make you feel more in control of the rhythm action gameplay than ever before. If you’re after a more traditional experience, meanwhile, the touchscreen in handheld mode has got your back. The release date trailer can be seen below:

It looks as stylish as ever. Every now and then something comes along that sets itself up perfectly as a cult classic. The World Ends With You is exactly that. We’ve seen a re-release on iPhone and Android, but honestly, the Switch seems a far better fit. We can’t wait to play it on the big screen. The Final Remix offers more than new controls. The music has been remixed, and a two-player co-op mode has been added. For fans new and old, it seems as though The World Ends With You Switch will be a great, and worthwhile purchase.

For the unaware, The World Ends With You is an action, rhythm RPG that originally saw release on the DS 10 years ago. You play as teenager Neku and are tasked with saving the world in just seven days. We can’t wait to replay it on Switch. The World Ends With You Final Remix releases on Swith on October 12.
