Dark Souls Trilogy Release Date

Dark Souls Trilogy Release Date Confirmed

The full Dark Souls Trilogy will be released in a bundle for Xbox One and PS4 later this year. The collection will include Dark Souls: RemasteredDark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin and Dark Souls III: The Fire Fades Edition. The Dark Souls Trilogy, along with all DLC for the three games, and will be released on 19 October, 2018.

This collection of the Dark Souls games will also be releasing alongside the Nintendo Switch port of Dark Souls: Remastered and the Solaire of Astora Amiibo. It will differ from the set released in Japan earlier this year, however. This is as the western release, as of now, will only include the games on three discs and not include all the extras found in the collector’s version released in Japan.

This version will also be different from the Japanese release as it will also be available on Xbox One, rather than being exclusive to the PS4 like it was in Japan. Bandai Namco has also released a trailer to coincide with this announcement. The trailer depicts various clips across the trilogy of games and a mock-up of what seems to be a steel-book case for the collection. There is currently no pricing for this collection, or whether there will be a collector’s edition for it in the west.

Dark Souls: Remastered was originally released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One earlier this year in May. While Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin was originally released in April of 2015. As for Dark Souls III: The Fire Fades Edition, the game was released in the west on 21 April 2017. The latest game in the series received a 4.5/5 from our review of the game, which also added that the game was linear compared to its contemporary soulsbourne peers, but well worth investing time into.
