Microsoft surprised us yesterday by adding Sinner Sacrifice for Redemption to its Xbox Game Pass, and now, it appears as though four more Xbox Game Pass Halloween games are on the way. Of course, the four titles that look like being added are all horror-themed, which is fitting, given the current season.
According to a report from TrueAchievements, the rumored four games heading to the service are all Xbox One titles, and are as follows:
- Dead Island Riptide Definitive Edition
- Hello Neighbor
- Observer
- Outlast
Currently, these games are not confirmed to be hitting the Xbox Game Pass service. Its official Twitter account is building towards something Halloween related, however. The page is giving hints as to when we can expect more games to be announced. As of this writing, it reads “Installing Pumpkin patch [95%].” If TrueAchievements is to be believed, this is leading to an announcement date of October 22, 2018. We’ll have to wait until then to know for sure.
Dead Island Riptide Definitive Edition is an updated port of the 2013 original. The survival horror open-world game can be played alone, or in a group of four and sees you trying desperately to survive against the undead in an unfriendly environment.
Hello Neighbor is another survival horror game, but with a bit of a difference. It tasks you with sneak into your neighbor’s house in order to discover his secrets and he doesn’t appreciate that. You must utilize stealth and survive in this game without getting caught.
Observer is a psychological cyberpunk horror game. We awarded it a 4.5/5 in our review, praising its horror-filled atmospheric world. We didn’t love its stealth sections, however.
Outlast, meanwhile, lets players Mount Massive Asylum in an effort to learn all of its secrets. Players are armed with only a camera and must make it through the dark asylum by hiding and using their camera batteries effectively.
