If you’re looking for a new distraction from Red Dead Redemption 2, Black Ops 4, or any of the other big releases of 2018, you might be in luck. PlayStation Now has added 11 new titles to its growing collection of almost 700 games available on the streaming and download service. In addition, in case you were having trouble sorting through all the Ben 10 games to get to Uncharted, Sony is introducing PS Now Collections. These sort out groups of games based on genre, platform, or themes.
As stated on the PlayStation Blog, some examples of PS Now Collections available to start include sorting out the 240 downloadable PS4 and PS2 titles from the stream-only games. You can see a list of all the PlayStation exclusives, just the PS2 games, or just the adventure games. The feature isn’t available to everyone at the start but should begin rolling out wide over the next week.
While you wait to get PS Now Collections on your home PS4, at least you can sit down with one of the 11 games hitting the service this month.
- Baja Edge of Control HD is the 2017 remaster of a 2008 off-road racer developed by 2XL Games and published by THQ Nordic. You’ll be racing across the sands in a wide selection of jeeps and buggies either alone, online, or in splitscreen multiplayer.
- Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a turn-based RPG set in Joe Madureira’s popular comic book world. Inspired by the great console RPGs of the 16-bit era, Nightwar sports vibrant visuals, random dungeons, and a playable golem.
- Destroy All Humans! and its sequel are PS2 classics joining the lineup. Control an alien voiced by Invader Zim voice actor Richard Horvitz as he tears apart 1950s era cities and farmsteads.
- Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 is the ultimate version of the latest entry in Arc System Works’ signature fighting franchise. Baiken and Answer join the already sizable roster of brawling rock and rollers.
- Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland is the first PS2 entry in the farming franchise now known as Story of Seasons. Like in so many 80s movies before it, you must save a small town from being demolished to make way for a resort and amusement park.
- LocoRoco Remastered is the PS4 edition of the PSP-focused Sony franchise. In the game, you roll a collection of giant yellow balls around to navigate through a colorful world.
- Mafia III is 2K’s 2016 revival of their open-world crime simulator. You play as Vietnam vet Lincoln Clay taking down an entrenched crime family in a facsimile of New Orleans in the late ’60s.
- Steep is Ubisoft’s open world winter sports simulator. Everything from wingsuits to snowboards is available alongside some pretty choice bailing animations.
- Vikings: Wolves of Midgard might fill in for anyone hoping for more Diablo news at Blizzcon. This action RPG has you fighting “the beasts of Ragnarok” and “the growing cold of Fimbulwinter.”
- World to the West is a standalone successor to Teslagrad. While the first game was a 2D platformer, West is a 3D action adventure set in the same universe. If you want a sharp looking indie in the tradition of the 16-bit Legend of Zelda games, you’ve found it.
