Kingdom Hearts 3 development has officially wrapped up. In addition, an extended version of a trailer currently running in movie theaters has been released to celebrate this milestone for the third core game in the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
Fans of Disney movies and Square Enix games alike are understandably excited for what’s coming in Kingdom Hearts 3. A trailer has been running in North American movie theaters for some time now and we’re fortunate to now be able to see it without having to spend 20 bucks on a ticket to see it. What’s more, the trailer has added in extra scenes for players to enjoy.
There are a number of familiar faces in this trailer. Of course, the core party of Sora, Goofy, and Donald are featured throughout. We also see scenery and characters from big-budget Disney franchise like Big Hero 6, Tangled, Frozen, and Pirates of the Caribbean. The inclusion of a highly-popular musical in the mix gives good odds that we’ll see some kind of singing in the game. Unfortunately, that may mean that we’ll also see Donald & Goofy chiming in as we did in the previous games.
The trailer has been released to celebrate the conclusion of Kingdom Hearts 3 development. Players were curious about how the Big Hero 6 world would look, but we weren’t able to see them in great detail as a number of the cutscenes were still being worked on quite recently. That’s not to say all of their work is done – we still have a couple of months to go before the game launches in January of next year. Square Enix is sure to spend the coming weeks and months promoting the game and revealing more of its world.
With Kingdom Hearts 3 development finished, it looks like we’re well on our way to seeing the game make its January 29, 2018 release date. Hopefully, Square Enix’s PR can now start devoting a little more resources towards telling us about the Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
