red dead online beta start date

Red Dead Online Beta Starts This Week

A month after its initial release, the Red Dead Online beta is finally almost upon us. However, it all starts on different times depending on what version you have and when you’ve played it. Ultimate Edition players get the beta on November 27, people who have played the game from November 26 to 28 get it on November 29, and everyone else with the game gets the online beta on November 30. The beta will be live on both PS4 and Xbox One.

Rockstar had previously promised that the Red Dead Online beta would start this month. But a precise date was not revealed. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick stated that “[Red Dead Online] will launch in public beta towards the end of the month” and that “Rockstar will have a lot more to say about it.”

Rockstar did not confirm of what is in the beta or how many players it will support. An end date was also not specified. Rockstar has been quiet about Red Dead Online. However, we know that its updates will be similar to Grand Theft Auto Online and the content drops won’t split up the userbase. Rockstar also stated that the big online updates will combine “narrative, gameplay, modes and other content into a cohesive thematic whole.”

We don’t know if the game’s inevitable microtransactions will be live for the beta. The ability to buy in-game money with real money made Take-Two a fortune so it’s just a matter of when they’ll make their way into Red Dead Online, not if.

Some have been speculating that a select few people already have access to Red Dead Online. Many of the game’s achievements and trophies are tied to Red Dead Online. And the rarity percentage on PS4 reveals that some players have already gotten some of those trophies. Some of these people are likely testers, which shows how close the Red Dead Online beta is.
