Fallout 76 Sales

Fallout 76 Drops Out Of UK Top Ten Charts

Another week means another UK Games Chart update. For the first time since its November 14 release date, Fallout 76 sales have slumped, causing it to move outside of the UK top ten in terms of physical sales. While Bethesda’s latest title struggled a little this week, several other games had strong showings in the UK after Black Friday.

According to GFK Chart-Track, Fallout 76 dropped out of the top ten into 11th place in the UK games chart. The game dropped from 7th place into 11th. While this doesn’t realistically represent a tremendous drop in sales, it does go to show that Fallout 76 wasn’t quite as sought-after during initial Christmas and leftover Black Friday sales as ten other games. Indeed, debuting at number 3 in the UK games chart, Fallout 76 has gone on to drop eight places in the handful of weeks since launch.

Although this week wasn’t too kind on Fallout 76, EA’s FIFA 19 continues to light up the charts. For two consecutive weeks now, FIFA 19 has shot itself to the top of the UK physical sales chart. Can it make the hat-trick? Red Dead Redemption 2, Call of Duty Black Ops 4, and Battlefield 5 all did well, respectively. Forza Horizon 4 sales continue to be strong in the UK, too, as it maintains a top 5 placement in the physical game sales chart.

The full top ten best-selling games of the last week in the UK is as follows, with last week’s placement in brackets:

  1. FIFA 19 (1)
  2. Red Dead Redemption 2 (3)
  3. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 (2)
  4. Battlefield 5 (4)
  5. Forza Horizon 4 (5)
  6. Spyro Reignited Trilogy (9)
  7. Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu (8)
  8. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (11)
  9. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (10)
  10. Fortnite Deep Freeze Bundle (12)

Other than the top ten and Fallout 76, there were some serious movers and shakers in this week’s UK top 40 games chart. Breath of the Wild, for example, climbed 13 places from 38th to 25th. An effort matched by LEGO Harry Potter Collection, which itself shot up from 40th place to 27th. Darksiders 3, meanwhile, failed to make much of splash, debuting in 32nd place.
