Wargroove Sales

New Wargroove content on the way as the game breaks even in 72 hours

Wargroove sales must have been pretty good—the fine folks at Chucklefish have already recouped their development costs in just three days. This is after Wargroove got a surprisingly fast turnaround on their release date of February 1, 2019, which was announced via an earlier Nintendo Direct. The developers are now turning their attention to improving on their spiritual successor of sorts to Advance Wars. One of their most immediate concerns is releasing a bugfix patch to fix some of the more glaring issues with the game, but they’ve certainly got more plans beyond that.

The short term plans for Wargroove include some quality of life fixes for players. Among these new additions is the ability to skip battle sequences more quickly, more tooltips and information, and making it more difficult to end a turn. Multiplayer improvements are also on the docket for short term improvements including better lobbies for multiplayer games and the ability to fill open spots with computer players. Additionally, a Japanese version of the game will soon be making its way to the Nintendo eShop.

In the long term, the money made from Wargroove sales are going to be reinvested in fresh content for the game. The developers state in their developer blog post on the matter that they’re “looking into a larger content update, DLC and more”. Unfortunately, they haven’t yet provided much in the way of details as to what this new content will include other than the fact that we should be hearing more about it in the coming months.

Wargroove sales have clearly been good and they’re sure to keep on going. In the meantime, the developers ask that fans continue to provide feedback on Reddit, Discord, and the game’s official forums. One of their big questions right now is whether or not players should be able to earn 3 stars at lower difficulty settings. Let them know what you think! You can get Wargroove right now for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch for $19.99 or your regional equivalent.
