Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice PS4 Pro performance will reportedly be capable of running well at 1080p 60 FPS. The information comes courtesy of Spanish video games outlet Vandal. Vandal attended a preview event where they were able to get their hands on the game. Vandal claims the game experienced some drops at 1080p 60 FPS, but that the performance was more than reasonable.
A Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice preview event was recently held in London. Several gaming outlets were invited to give the game a try and capture some preview footage. During the event, Vandal was able to experience the game running at 1080p 60 FPS. Along with stating that the game holds 60 FPS “pretty well,” the outlet also reports that it is artistically impressive highlighting its detail, animations, and design. Below is a translation of the site’s comments regarding the smooth console performance.
We would also like to say that, technically speaking, we were very satisfied with it. We played on PlayStation 4 Pro at 1080p and the game seems to hold 60 frames per second pretty well. Yes, there are some drops, but considering the size of the settings and that, graphically, it’s not bad at all, we think it’s a more than reasonable performance. Also, artistically it is incredible, and has great details, very neat animations and very elaborate designs.
The impressions acquired at the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice preview event will be particularly valuable to gamers as it was recently revealed media outlets would not be receiving early review codes for the game. Withholding of early review codes is often viewed as a bad sign for studio confidence, however, the outlets VG247 and Metro both stated that after playing the game they didn’t believe the move was as a result of the game’s quality. In the article revealing the Sekiro PS4 Pro performance at 1080p 60 FPS, Vandal also gave their impressions. Vandal too seemed happy with their early experience of the game, stating the previews left them wanting more.
Following the preview event, there is plenty of gameplay footage out in the wild but, if you are looking to see more about the narrative of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, a story trailer was released last month. For those curious about PC performance rather than PS4, we can tell you just what Sekiro will require from your gaming rig to get the best out of FromSoftware’s new game.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is slated for release on March 22 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
